If you want to gain experience and have an interest in music and events or just enjoy doing good deeds with a team of fun, like-minded people then we want to hear from you!

Our event volunteers play a big part in creating a great atmosphere and helping ticket holders have a fantastic time. Volunteering also looks great on your CV to potential employers.

There are a variety of volunteer roles available and all volunteers receive free food and drink whilst on your breaks and we make sure you get to see some of the concerts.

All you need to do is:

  • Be available for the event days
  • Arrange your own travel

Volunteer Roles

The descriptions below show the variety of roles you may be involved in. Please have a read and then look through the Terms and Conditions.

Hours each day are approximate as follows:

Friday 6th August: 1pm – 8.00pm
Saturday 7th August: 10am – 8.00pm
Sunday 8th August: 10am – 8.00pm

You will be entitled to breaks during these times.

We aim to involve you in as many roles as possible to give you more variety. The following roles will be allocated on the day based on demand:

Gate Team

The Gate Team plays a vital role in welcoming customers to the venue and providing them with a friendly face on arrival. The team will be required to direct people to the correct entrance lanes and support security and ticketing staff by applying wrist bands to customers as they arrive at the venue.

Event Information

This role requires volunteers to extend information and give directions to customers making sure families are aware of the family and child friendly facilities available. You’re also the eyes and ears of the event and can feedback any concerns issues to the Volunteers manager.

Support Team

This will include a variety of roles that involves supporting event site staff, from undertaking fire patrols to keeping the site clean from litter.

Terms and Conditions

All Gateways volunteers are valued as part of the event team and will receive everything they need to do the job happily and safely whilst having a great time. However, we still need to lay down a few guidelines to enable everything to run smoothly…

  • poligies,All volunteers must be 16 years old or over on 7th August 2021. Those aged under 18 must provide a letter from their parents providing consent for the individual to volunteer at the event (this is a legal requirement).
  • Your priority as a volunteer is to help us run the event efficiently. We appreciate that there may be specific artists you want to see over the weekend and we will endeavour to take this into consideration when arranging rotas, however, we cannot guarantee that your requests will be met. It is expected that all volunteers will have finished working by 8pm so that you can enjoy the headline acts. If accepted as a volunteer, please tell us if you have a friend on your team and would like your shifts together. We will try our best to accommodate this.
  • You have responsibility for arranging your own transport to and from the venue as well as arranging your own car parking. Please see the website for more details on how to get to the event. Apologies, but travel expenses are not available.

All applicants will be considered, however, due to an anticipated high level of interest, we, unfortunately, may not be able to guarantee all applicants a position.

If you are successful, we will be in contact with you at least 1 month prior to the festival in order to provide you with further details.
