How much are tickets?

See the Tickets page for the range of admission charges and payment schemes.

Why is there a booking fee?

Running a ticket agency costs money – (premises, IT, staff, communication, credit card commission etc). A fee is calculated as a percentage of the price of each ticket and added by agents on top of a ticket’s face value to cover both their costs of sale and as a charge for the service provided.

What does ‘Face Value’ mean?

‘Face Value’ is the basic price printed on a ticket set by the promoter before the addition of any booking fees, service charges or other extra costs have been added (eg for mailing).

Are there any age restrictions

Children below the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Can I buy a child ticket?

Yes. Child tickets (3-15 years) are available. Admission is free for Children under 3 years old (no ticket required).

Where is my ticket?

You can trace your ticket by enquiring with the agency from where you purchased your tickets.

Can I upgrade my ticket to VIP?

Sorry VIP tickets are not available this year.

I’ve bought a ticket but lost it. Will I be able to get in the venue with just email confirmation?

You will need a ticket to gain admission. If you have lost your ticket you will need to liaise with the ticketing agent you purchased it from. Email confirmation of ticket purchase will not be accepted.

I need accommodation where can I stay?

Skipton and the surrounding area is absolutely stunning so why not make a weekend of it. There are many hotels and guest houses in the district. Check out the accommodation available on the Skipton Tourist Information site here.

What times do gates open?

See Opening Times for details.

What searches are in place at the entrances?

For security reasons ticket holders will be subject to searches. Please be patient if there are queues and please cooperate with any security requests and all searches.

There will be separate search lanes for those with possessions and we anticipate that these lanes will be slower. Our advice to ticket holders is:-

  • Pack light. The less you bring, the quicker you’ll get through the gates. It really will make things quicker.
  • Label bags. Put your name and number on any bags and possessions you bring.
  • Observe the festival opening times and arrive as early as possible.

Please read the Conditions of Entry on the Tickets page for the list of prohibited items.

Can I bring fold up camping chairs?

Yes of course but please stay away from the higher density area in front of the stage. Also be prepared to accept that other ticket holders without chairs may be stood in front of you blocking your view.

Will there be food and drink?

There will be a good selection of catering stalls providing delicious cuisine. There will also be a variety of bars selling alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Food is allowed but no alcoholic beverages are permitted to be brought into the venue. Water and soft drinks in sealed plastic bottles no bigger than 500ml are allowed and you can bring your own food but no BBQ’s. We recommend you check what you can and cannot bring by viewing the prohibited items list to avoid bringing items in only for them to be taken off you by security at the entrance gates.

Are there any restrictions on bag sizes?

We recommend bags are no bigger than a standard size rucksack approx.. 30cm x 42cm (A3 size). Larger bags will slow your entry down at the search gates.

Will you be revealing performance times?

Artist performance times can be seen on the line up page. Please note schedules are approximate and subject to change.

Can my band perform at Gateways?

Our policy is that we are unable to accept approaches from bands/artists and this is simply due to the volume of enquiries we are likely to receive. Sorry in advance if we don’t reply to your email or letter but we do not have the resources to deal with the number of enquiries. However, Gateways are keen to support and showcase the array of local talent that we know exists in the region and we will be arranging a ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition with a local venue in the coming months. Details will be announced on social media so please keep checking in for news on how to enter.

Can I trade at Gateways?
